Meh…. tastless and bland….among other issues. I’ve tried to eat here mupltiple times, but they are either closed or in the process of cleaning up to close when I’ve gone there (I.E., foods already put away, counters etc… being wiped down, even if it’s 30 mins. before the stated closing time). I finally was able to get there prior to closing time and place an order. It was about 15 mins. prior to closing, but most of the food was already removed for storage. This was on a Friday night w/ a football game in the stadium across the street, I mention this because pepole were streaming in the door and restaurant could have made alot of $. I ordered the Gyros.platter, was charged $11 w/ taxes, and the portion was very small. My guess is staff wanted to spread out the remaining precut meat in the steam tray and other food for the remaing customers. The food itself was fresh(ish) but very bland, almost tasteless – odd for ‘mediterranean’ cuisine – very unremarkable. Staff (owner?) looked annoyed @ having to serve customers that close to closing time – and I’ve seen this before when I’ve been there @ somewhat earlier times, so have skpped it and gone elsewhere. I’ll make extra effort to go to Aida in Richflield @ 66th and Penn Ave S. for future med./mid- eastern food in the future – nicer staff, much better food – it actually tastes like med./mid-easty food should.
Yummmmm. We go here at least once a week. The spicy sauce is AMAZING… it definitely has a kick to it.
One of the best gyros we’ve had in aWhile! Friendly service and good quality food! Yum!!!
Sure, it’s OK. Don’t understand all of the hype. Based on the reviews here, you’d think that the food here was the cure for world peace. The gyros and fries were fine, sure. But they weren’t outstanding – just average. My guess is because there isn’t much else around this remote corner of Bloomington, folks are all giddy to receive something that is just competent.
Very disappointing. Took forever to get service and I was the only one there. The gyro meat is sitting in tubs on the service line. The best kind comes right off the rotator. Not very authentic and the people working there seemed like they wished they were somewhere else.
Very good gyro sandwiches. The gyro platter was also very good. They have kid meals with pizza for the little ones.
I love love love this family joint. Have eaten there so many times and it’s always delicious. You can’t go wrong with the gyros or the pizza. Lots of options for vegetarians. Oh yeah, get the lentil soup if they have it available. YUM!
