Lai Inn is a nice place. They have really great fried rice and menu items available for take out. Buffet is reasonably priced. The service is friendly. I love the take out from here.
Best asian cuisine around this area, awesome service and almost no wait for your food and it comes hot!! Been coming here for years and truly love it and will always come back!!!
Disappointment. Food was bad, service was Ok. Worst part, when I went to pay they would not accept credit or debit. I only had a dollar in cash so across the parking lot I walk to get cash. Got service charged $5.00 by the bank. Pretty expensive bad meal.
LaChoy from Cub Foods is better. Terrible place to eat. No beer, no wine, for starters. The food literally tasted like something you can whip up at home with canned bamboo shoots, a $1.89 packet of seasonings, some meat and a handful of veggies. How this place got rated this high was absolutely a mystery to my wife and I after eating here. Keep driving west into Eden Prairie and eat at Pei Wei instead.
Lai Inn has been my families go to resturant for quick chinese for years. Their house special fried rice and chicken chow mein are delicious, as are the cream cheese wontons. Best chinese in the area.
Great Family-Owned Business. This restaurant has been here for years. Every time I go in there is no one else there, so I have no idea how they survive. But aside from the quiet atmosphere, the food is wonderful. The Cream Cheese Wontons are a GREAT value (a lot of wontons for less than $6). Everything is in large portions and filling. The food is quick and hot. Also, this restaurant is family owned and not a franchise, so by going here you are supporting a local small business. For me that’s motivation enough to choose Great Mandarin over a place like Leann Chin. I just moved to St. Paul and miss this Bloomington restaurant a lot.
Forget the buffet, order off the menu. Buffet food is just that, buffet food. IF you order off the menu you will be very pleased. Good food, well prepared, good sized portions. Try it, seriously.
