Absolute best and most fun place I have ever been to, unbelievable hospitality who catered to all 30 of us

Fake name. Why using Osaka as the restaurant name why no cooker or staff or owner is Japanese? They’re all Chinese, Vietnamese, Hmong … They fool us because we can’t distinguish them. I never satisfy with their sushi and I’d better make it at home. If I have chance to go there with friends, I have other dishes as Chinese or Vietnamese. Those are true, not fake.

The worst and the best. I work in Bloomington but live closer to Eden Prairie, for lunch I have gone to the Bloomington location and after three attempts I will NEVER return, I have had the same thing on the menu from both locations yet there is NOTHING similar about the dishes. The Eden Prairie location is able to provide a great amount sea food for their prices, yet the Bloomington location provides HALF the portion. I have paid 10.00 for the sea food salad at EP and was very happy with my meal, same thing at the Bloomington location 10.00 half the portion as well as barely any seafood. If you want a good Osaka experience do not visit the Bloomington location, spend the extra 10 minutes driving and visit the Eden Prairie one instead.

Yuck. Terrible service. Absolutely terrible. If you have to go, bring your own water – you’ll only get one pour from your server. The fish was competitively priced – but you’ll honestly do better getting sushi from the refrigerator case of a grocery store (which is pretty bad). Terrible value. The tempura was greasy and nasty.Seriously drive a few miles into the city and hit any of the sushi places – you can’t do any worse anywhere.

Redeemed. I will have to say the first time I walked into an Osaka (Roseville) the Sushi chef offered cuts of meat that were ladled with tendon and hard chunks of fat. Not impressed- A co-worker and I tried this one and have been greeted with a very pleasant Chef and the cuts of meat melted in your mouth. He also told us about the 50% off specials that run at dinner time- He was quick and knowledgable and very easy to talk to. Again the way he cut the meat was very impressive, I have to say it I will certainly be back (for lunch and dinner!)

Osaka has horrible service. Expect the waiter staff to take your order then drop off the food, but that’s about it. If you’re dying of thirst you’d have better luck finding water in a desert. Don’t expect them to bring you a check when you’re finished either, you’ll have to track someone down. There is not a lot of variety of fish either, what they do have on the menu is always out. The soup is as cold as Minnesota’s winter, but without much flavor.
