Great burger place. This place is hidden away and looks tiny from the outside. Shanty is a good description of the outside. But inside it is actually pretty good sized and a place I feel at home. Very good burgers with lots of topping choices. Love that for just a little extra you get to upgrade from fries to a BIG order of waffle fries, Tator Tots, or onion rings. Good malts, taco salad, and fish and chips. Heck, good everything. Good prices. Always busy!
Great Bar Food. This is a hidden gem! The parking is horrible, but you’ll manage. The cheese curds are yummy, as are the tots with seasoned sour cream. The grilled cheese is good. The shrimp basket can sometimes be a little overcooked, but is still good. I don’t eat burgers so I can’t talk about them. The portions are huge, the drinks are strong, the prices are xpvery reasonable, and the staff is very pleasant! I used to live out of state and would have to make a stop there while back in town. Just remember, it’s Bar Food!

No big deal – for certain. Steak sandwich was tasteless and service was very poor. Parking is difficult and staff is not overly customer oriented. On a 1 to 10 – no more than a 4. Gus
Eh – it’s ok, get onion rings. AVOID the patty melt. It’s ok. the burger meat is real plain, just ground beef grayed up on the grill, no great flavor to it. nice bun on the burger. the Onion Rings were good – better than average. the tots someone raved about online were just plain old tots, nothing special or worth ordering. I had the Patty Melt there once and it was THE WORST, so skip the Patty Melt. overall you’d be better off at 5-8 for a Juicy, or Sandy’s Tavern who used to have the Best burgers till they changed their meat to cheap thin frozen meat patties.
