OMG-get ready to stand in a line!. Too crowded,you have to stand in a line outside and inside the restaurant for the buffet! We love Indian food and heard a lot about this from our Indian neighbors. We piled the food on our plates so that we didn’t have to stand in the line again! Finally we just didn’t know what we ate 🙁
It used tobe good in past but the service is going from bad to worst now days. I would suggest you staying away.
V. Great south indian foods. Have tried many south indian restaurants in minneapolis, but this one is the best. Believe me nice spicy food and tiffins in the weekend buffet are excellent.
I love Indian Cuisine and have dined at many places around the cities. This place is one of the best! Strongly recommend Veggie Samosas, Chicken tikka masala, poori and garlic naan. Love!
Delicious in their new location in Bloomington. I visited Surabhi on a weekday for their lunch buffet. What a great variety of food. Chicken, lamb, vegetarian, curries, tandoori, naan, two kinds of rice. I loved it. I was there with two other friends and they liked it just as much. There was even dessert! The staff was friendly, greeting us, walking throughout the restaurant, clearing dishes. I’d visit again!
Unfriendly and unimpressed. 05/11/09 – Went for lunch. There is no service. One young lady that was folding napkins, spoke on her cell phone for our entire meal. Also the food at the buffet was just slightly warm. We told the other server that the food wasn’t warm enough – he didn’t understand English well. Finally he went to the kitchen – and came back with the excuse that it’s supposed to be like that.
No hospitality. Food is nominaly priced but hospitality which is vital for a restaurant is missing. That too there is this lady, she gives a look like as if we are there to disturb them. Some times they won’t even consider our request for prefered table.2.5/5
