Food was great, atmosphere is very pleasant. Restaurant is Remi and clean. So are the restrooms. You have to enter through the Festival Foods entrance to get into the restaurant, but once you are inside you can’t see the grocery store. Service was a tiny bit slow but overall we were very happy with the experience.
Flavor. Stopping for lunch set a Danish bakery seemed like a good idea. It was better than that! On this hot day, we were delighted be able to sit outside in the shade – safely with our puppy at our feet. Ordered at the counter and delivered to our table, my lefse wrap was stuffed with chunks of chicken breast, mushrooms, spinach, red bell peppers, and flavorful mozzarella cheese. A side of pico de gallo was fresh and balanced with sweet, and spicy. The cucumber slices were a cooling pleasant alternative to the predictable pickle spears. His choice of beef (rather than chicken) shepherds pie was almost a work of art. It was stacked on the plate, with the pastry shell filled to the brim and topped with a piped flower-like mile-high mashed potatoes that were light and fluffy. The potatoes were lightly broiled and topped with a dark brown beefy gravy. And the chocolate chip with pea an scone we bought for a snack later was tender and tasty. We will return.
Best breakfast spot we’ve ever eaten. Fantastic food and service. Fresh pumpkin pancakes in October and hand ground pork sausage patties are the best. On you way out try their fresh baked cookies!!!
