HORRIBLE SERVICE. Service was way too slow and by the time we got our food. The only thing that was hot was the fried rice and it was too salty. The shrimp tempura Udon soup was warm, chicken terkiyaki was burned and there was like only 5 strips with a ton of rice. The sushi took forever to get to the table. Overall, it you want cheap price and decent sushi then go there. If not, I recommend going to Minneapolis at Obento-ya. There food is better quality for the price you pay.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. I’ll never go there again. The girl taking the order is very rude as well as the owner. The food at Oishi used to be good when they first ordered, however their food is not good anymore. Oishi is known for their sushi, but their sushi is soggy and gross. Horrible experience. I was already warned about going there and now I know that it’s true.

I always drove past Oishi, thinking nothing of it. One day, I was in a rush, wanting sushi, and decided to finally go in. Looking through the menu, I saw that the prices were half that of other sushi restaurants. Of course, I thought it was too good to be true for good sushi with a good price. Boy, was I wrong. I ordered the Spicy Crunch Roll and Tempura Roll. I can say I was blown away at how amazing it was. I’ll definitely be going back and trying other rolls I was interested in.
Great value for money.. I couldn’t believe that this place even opened in its location and thought they’d quickly go out of business but they’re still there! Definitely not the best Japanese food in the twin cities but I can tell you that the deluxe bento box is a screaming bargain if you’re hungry. The place is a bit spartan but the folks are friendly and just having a place like this nearby is a bonus. Try it!
Not bad at all. Very good prices. I had the bento box tonight. Generous amount of food, and a nice variety. Good value. Not fantastic food, but quite serviceable. I was pleased with the tonkatsu, tender pork, crisp and ungreasy.
