Should be better. Good food overall. Some glaring problems.If you go to Brooklyn Park, at 5:30 in the morning, the music is going to be blaring, tinny, and obnoxiously loud. The guy who I think is the son of the owner (and probably co-owner now) will be banging his spatulas on the grill along with the music, like he is a 5 year old, but proud that he can keep time. This is not a good atmosphere for breakfast, especially when you might have a hangover, which could be typical on weekends at that time. One friend of mine complained about the noise to no effect. If you go to St Anthony, the food is not near as good somehow, but it is quiet. But then, Perkins is close, so we go there now. The original owner must not be keeping track of these places, but the whole idea of the place is obnoxious so who knows. Read the dont’s on the menu. This is like a Mayslack’s wanna be, good food but with the certain FU attitude for everyone.I think Stan would say FU to these people though.
Service and food were phenomenal! This review comes from a family who is accustomed to eating some of the best food Chicago has to offer.
Horrible service, sent food back twice and got the same result (asked for over hard and got sunny side up, yolks yucky!) I felt like I was irritating the cashier girl texting while paying and it’s in a strip mall. Food was average when the order was right. Will have to try some other suggestions in the area now.
Great Food, Great Service. The omelets are huge, and delicious! Our favorite is the Chili Cheese – wish they’d put it on the regular menu instead of just a special. The service is always friendly.

Not as good as the New Hope location.. I’m a fan of Fat Nat’s in New Hope and was thrilled when this location opened closer to my home in Brooklyn Park. Boy, was I disappointed. The food was not nearly as good and the service was poor. I’ll drive the extra few miles for my La Favorita carnitas breakfast from now on.
Love Fat Nat’s! Best breakfast in town!
