Best Italian Food in the Midwest. I am Italian and from NJ. I have also been to Italy, so I know a thing or two about the food. Brianno’s is an authentic, well prepared, Chicago style Deli that delivers on the hype. The Brianno’s Special and Chicago Roast beef are loaded with flavor and wrapped into a freshly baked roll. Guaranteed, if you try it once, you’ll be back again to sample everything else.

The pizza rocks!. I ordered take out as I was told there is no real dining area. The pizza and food was ready in 25 minutes. I ordered sausage, pepperoni and mushroom pizza, ceasar salad and an order of sausage, peppers and onions. OMG it was all so good. I had just heard about this place recently and was told they have the best pizza in The Cities. I was doubtful after being to Punch, Pizza Luce and others. The pizza was loaded with toppings and lots of cheese. It was so good, Brianno’s is now in my top 3 pizza places. The sausage, peppers and onions were quite tasty too, loaded with lots of meat. I don’t know If they make their own sausage but it was flavorful, meaty and just the right amount of heat for me. I just wish I lived closer so I could get their pizza to go more often. Oh the dressing for the salad was classic ceasar and the I forgot to mention homemade cheesecake and berry tiramisu were outstanding. I’ll be back as soon as I can be!
WOW!!!. Had my first meal from there not long ago. Now that is a hot dago! outstanding pizza. This isn’t some lame Italian American doctored Ragu restaurant, it’s completely authentic.
Can’t miss!. It doesn’t matter what you order, it’s awesome! We’ll stop by for chicken caesar salad (amazing), eggplant parm wedge (amazing), chicago beef sandwich with hot peppers (fabulous), tomato basil soup (best ever), tiramisu (decadent), pizza (savory yummy cheesy goodness)… Shopping while we wait briefly in line for the goods is great, too! Hot giardano, sauces, Italian candies and cookies… They’ve got it all and great attitude to boot!
2nd Best Lasagna We’ve Ever Had. After Mom’s, of course! We almost didn’t stay and order b/c there wasn’t any place to eat. It’s all take-out at Brianno’s – other than a plastic table and chairs outside in the sun, but an older gentleman waiting behind us convinced us to order the lasagna. We are so glad we did! The portions were HUGE, filling the take-out container. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the portion size. They are closed Mondays and holidays.
Gem. I used to live in Eagan and this place was my secret spot for a long time. You can’t find anything like this place in Minneapolis. Great, fresh, Italian essentials. A for sure stop when you are in town. Still miss the italian sub, sausage and pizza.
