This is the best offering in the Twin Cities for middle eastern cuisine. Generous portions of lamb gyro, handmade falafel, and classic specialties like shwarma. Recommended for Minnesotans who want to experience more world cuisine, for travelers, and for people who miss their homeland. Don’t go to some Dinosaur greek restaurant, come to this place for the real thing.
I grew up eating lebanese food and this is by far the best Lebanese restaurant I have ever been to! Everything is delicious. The owner is very friendly and makes EVERYTHING fresh. This is very evident when eating his food. The garlic has a bite to it, the rice is fluffy and buttery, and the meat is tender and cooked to perfection! I can not recommend this place enough if you want to want a taste of truly authentic Lebanese food.
Was Disappointed. We had read a few good reviews and decided to try take out. The meat was pretty tough, and not very tasty. My husband had the meat lover’s platter, and could only eat about half of it. The reast was too tough, and had an odd taste.
Prices too high for the building and lack of ambiance. The food was tasty, but the institutional tables and chairs, the lack of decor, and the lack of protection from cold wind blowing in the door were appropriate only for an inexpensive gyro joint. A two shish kabob plate was $12-13, portions were only adequate, a glass of ok wine was $6.50. I asked the waitress how much my glass of wine was (price was not on the menu), she said $4.50, then I was charged $6.50, the manager resented giving me the $2 back. This is probably a good place for lunch, if they have special lunch deals.
Favorite Restaurant in Burnsville. I’ve been here on dates, with family, and on my own. It works for all occassions. Mike is an excellent host and truly nice guy, and, having dated a Lebanese woman in my past, the food here is truly authentic. There’s no better food in Burnsville!
Disappointed. I love Lebanese food but this place ruined it for me. Spent 26 bucks fur tasteless food, the portions were cheap/small and the service sucked. Never again, I will go to Zakia in MPLS from now on. I live gyros but the meat here is something I’ve never tasted more like ground meat than actual gyro. Nothing like Zakia deli and they are always nice.
Pricing ??. Stopped by to grab a snack. Ordered some hummus. It was listed as 4.89 on menu and above sign. Came out to be 6.08? Am I missing something here? Is there that much tax on hummus? Hummus was great, but they gave me 1 small piece of pita with my hummus. Not much of a snack with nothing to dip! Kind of a pisser. I will give place another shot.. but kind of feel like I was ripped off.
