Brown lettuce. The service was great . The food was not good at all. They boast about farm to table. That is great but the food itself was terrible. We will not go back there. The prices are also high.
Unflavored menu. Food was underwhelming overall. Items lacked seasoning, also meats were dry (French dip….no way that was prime rib) or looked and tasted reheated (fried chicken with waffle). Smoked cheese fondu was bacon smoked out of a can sauce; very grainy texture with baby carrots and frozen pretzel bread. Cocktails tasted watered down and like the restaurant as a whole, lacking flavor. Kitchen staff: please taste the food before sending it out, you are ruining what could be a nice restaurant.
Terrible food – the cheese fondue was grainy, got cold and congealed within moments of getting to the table, the fries were soggy and soft and mushy, the chicken & waffles were bland, (and the chicken was gray colored and smelled old), even the drinks were watered-down and underwhelming. Beautiful decor, pleasant servers, but save your money – I would recommend ANY fast food restaurant over this quality of poorly seasoned/cooked/frozen product experience.
Bartender (jim) nice guy; all the same there were 20 people in the restaurant, it took them over an hour to get us our food, upon getting it, our steak was so rare it was bleeding. only explaination was a rable of excuses. plus one order (to go) was forgot, didn’t feel like waiting, especially another hour. we travel from alaska to texas and everywhere in between, top 10 worst spots.
Its ok. I would not make a trip for it unless the waitress we had (Julia) was there. She was the thing that made this review positive.
Braised Chicken. What a surprise – incredible flavor. The butternut squash and apple compote was awesome as well. Excellent choice!
Chef Toohey is the engine that lifts Morgan’s above other upper-class pubs by serving a better class of chow. What do you serve with pretzel-crusted walleye? Edamame succotash of course! Just one of many pleasant surprises found here.
