Service was great. Capellini salmon was delicious! Nice bar. Live music was great background and put this place over the top! Fun night. Check it out. Pricing reasonable for quality great bang for buck
We went to Stephanos for an informal wedding reception and I was left disappointed. The food was okay, but service was slow and they seemed to be out of everything. The server had to return to our table 4 times to tell us that the food wasn’t available or looked too bad to serve. The thing that surprised me most, not one worker congratulated the bride and groom or even gave them and special attention.
Worst service ever. Only one waitress actually did anything and she was oviously not one of the owners type. Two hours to get a dish of noodles and non of the complaints were ver dealth with, Owner and his family must be on something toally oblivious to needs of customers. Place is awful!!
Horrid and rude!. We live in the area and thought we’d give this place a try. Our waitress was nice. We ordered mussels for an app, they were fishy and only half of them were cooked enough that they opened. We gave the upopened ones back and told her they were duds and hadn’t been cooked long enough. We ordered the gnocci with pesto, while it tasted good it certainly lacked pesto, which is why we ordered it.Also we ordered a spicy seafood dish over risotto. It was tasteless and it came over white rice. I sent that back as well explaining that it wasn’t risotto…. the server said it was was the sauce…heh? We were present our bill and were charged for everything! When the waitress came to process the payment I told her I found it ridiculous to be charged for undercooked mussels and the ‘risotto’ dish I sent back after taking three bites off. She went and got Stephano.I’m the vocal one and have been in food industry for 15 years. He immediately looked at my boyfriend expecting him to talk when I piped up instead. Why would he assume it was the man who was going to talk. The next thing he said floored us…. ‘well i do understand we are all going through tough times….’ it was like he was insinuating we were trying to get free food and couldn’t afford it! We do plenty well. In the end he comped half our mussels and the ‘risotto’ dish. We will not be back.
Worst Service EVER!. We went there for my mothers birthday 2 kids, 4 adults. There was no childrens menu which was fine, so the waitress told us we could order any half size adult meal for half the price. One of my daughters is 1 year old and has allergies to milk and eggs. I asked the waitress what they would have that did not involve those ingrediants. She came back recommending a salad. Instead I asked for just a chicken breast cooked in oil. .The meals came out at 3 seperate times. First my mom, her boyfriend and my older daughters meal came out, 5-10 minutes later the waitress brought out my husband and my meal and another 5-10 minutes later my 1 year olds piece of chicken came out. Our beverages did not get refilled at all throughout our meal even though our glasses were empty. My 1 year old barely touched her chicken, but the other food tasted pretty good. When the bill came, I assumed the piece of chicken would cost approximately the same price as my 3 year olds meal-ravioli which cost $5. Instead her piece of chicken was $10.50!!!! The service at this restaurant was the worst I have had in a long time! Will not go back.
Never again!. First of all, the service was TERRIBLE! We went in there and it was completely empty except us and they acted as if they were bothered by us showing up. Without saying a word, he walked us to a table and set the menus down. That was our cue to sit down. I asked for a booster seat for my daughter and had to get it myself. We ordered the escargot, which was amazing, but that’s as far as that went. I ordered fettuccini with peas in it. The sauce left a terrible aftertaste, like I just ate ashes or something. My son ordered spaghetti and meatballs and the sauce had to be just plain old Ragu. Very disappointed and will never go back!
Marginal food/awful service. Went to Stephano’s on a Saturday evening in early June 2010. The dining room was full and the host told us we would have to sit in the bar, there wasn’t an option of waiting for a table. The bartender was the waiter for these tables and clearly didn’t like that part of his job. He was perfunctory but less than friendly. We ordered and the salad came in about 10 minutes and was fine. Then we waited another 40 minutes for our food. When we asked about the delay after 30 minutes we were told that they had a private group of 50 in the back room that their food came first. The food was marginal. My pesto sauce was basically a greasy white sauce with just enough pest to make it light green. There was no garlic, no pine nuts. The chicken was flavorless. My husband felt his seafood dish was fine. When the bill came, the waiter gave my husband a pen that was leaking and ended up making a huge mess on this hand. We never saw the waiter again, there was no apology or attempt to clean up the mess.
