What a bad experience! The place was dirty, the staff was slow. I have never in my life had to order my desert before my meal came just so our server could go home. Derek our server came to our table about 5 minutes after we order and asked us to place our desert or now if we wanted any and he would bring it right away. Mind you I still hadn’t gotten my coffee I ordered. Our burgers came out over done and unseasoned. Beware if you order the mushrooms on your burger they are in a funky batter. My coffee came with my meal and was never refilled at all. Our server kept disappearing into the back and the other servers on would ignore us and try to finish up there side work. When our food arrive it was dropped and he left before we could ask for anything. So there I sat with my burger getting cold because I had no silverware or ketchup. 10 minutes later he came back from the kitchen to check on us. The most frustrating thing is they as a company lost $20 in malts/sundaes because I refuse to let my children have desert before there meals. So with the experience of bad service, over cooked burgers, unfilled coffees and waters, and demanding desert first we will not be going back anytime soon.

A bad experience. As I was halfway through my burger, I set it down in the basket to enjoy some sweet patato fries. As I looked at the bottom of the bun, I noticed mold on the outside of the bun. The comforting part was I already ate half of it before I noticed. I was told by our server that it happens because they buy bakery fresh bread. She explained how they refridgerate them on the day they are closed and this has happened before. Our meal was free, but the fact that this happened (MORE THAN ONCE, according to our server) is an alarming sign to me. Here is may main question. Why order fresh bakery bread when you hold on to it so long that it gets moldy? Doesn’t it make sense to get fresh bread daily?

I ordered a hot fudge oreo malt. It was thin and chalky. We also ordered cheese curds. They were over cooked with all the cheese blown out.We had to ask to order and for the check. No one asked how our food was. Bad food and service.

This was not a good ecperience. My malt was made with still frozen strawberries, the burger patties were thin, our waiter never brought us water and we had to get our own ketchup off another table. Another reviewer said you could get feta cheese on your burger. My husband asked for that and the waiter said they couldn’t do it. In all honesty, Culver’s has much better food and for a fraction of the cost. We may try the Chaska location but we won’t return to Savage.

Very good hand made malts. Typical malt shop burgers with one twist, they will put Feta on your cheese burger. That was very good.
