My husband’s Axel’s Famous Walleye was good, but I found the roasted chicken to be overdone and dried out. We were also given popovers which were baked too long. Portions were okay, but not overly generous. I don’t think we will return.
Axel’s is a classic supper club joint. It’s a great place to celebrate a birthday or other milestone. Perfect spot to enjoy a delicious steak and glass of red wine.
Third time to visit. Greeted and sat promptly. Friendly server. Group ranged from chicken, shrimp, salad, and filet. All tasted very good. Bar was a bit tapped out with selections. Will try again.
My husband was served a pork chop literally raw in the middle. Still feel ill from looking at a lump of raw meat, so much so that I couldn’t eat my meal either. Absolutely disgusted, no apology from manager.Do not eat here.
