Waste of time. The server wouldn’t take my REAL ID. She went to ask a manger and they wouldn’t take it so we left. I was with my mom even and they were extremely rude. Never going there again, horrible service
GREAT. Have been too Pub 42 about a dozen times always great service, food excellent, the only item would not order again is the fish sandwich.
My experience at Pub 42 is mixed. I’ve been there three times in the past two months and sat at the bar. Service was friendly and attentive. The first time I had deviled eggs. The bacon that came with them was very good and the egg filling had a good flavor but the texture was too dense. The second visit I had a Reuben sandwhich with coldslaw. The sandwich was good. On my third visit I had a hamburger with onion strings and french fries. The onion strings and fries were soggy and cold. They tasted as if they were made much earlier in the day or the previous day. The overall burger had no flavor until I added mustard and Tobasco sauce. I will definitely go again, but the owners should pay more attention to quality control of what comes out of the kitchen.
Mr/Mrs Lloyd. Called for a reservation for four for a Friday night and they would not take the reservation I told him to put us down for six and two would not show and he wouldn’t do that either. Policy is only for 6 people. Very unbending and unwilling to satisfy 2 returning customers and 2 new customers. Needed a for sure reservation and he would not budge. Very disappointed in the response by this individual who would much rather have us go elsewhere.
Wonderful. Our experience was very good. The decor is delightful, very welcoming when you come in the door. Our server was Jordan. She couldn’t have been more professional. The service reminded me of some European restaurants, where the server is very attentive but not obtrusive. All our needs were met and the food was delicious. We broke our rule about not having dessert. The desserts were enough for two share, but we selfishly did not.We’ll come again!
I can certainly say it improves over the factory. Ingredients are fresh…everything is made from scratch. Try the millionaires bacon…wow. I had the double blue burger and it was delicious. Our table shared the calamari and it too was very tasty and the lemon aoli hit the spot. One criticism was the fish and chips…which was walleye not cod(a big plus for me)…it was very greasy. The batter was soggy.
We were so hopeful…. When writing a review I try to find something positive to say, but, I believe for the first time, I can come up with nothing good. Below-average food, REALLY greasy onion rings, poor service, no water, drinks taking over 30 minutes to arrive. The Manager came by and asked how our meal was and I told him it was truly awful and we would never come back. He said he was sorry, and could we come back next week? When we drive by the parking lot is almost empty, and there are many reasons why.
