Unique flavors. I have previously lived in the Phoenix area and I Love authentic Mexican food. So when I spotted this restaurant in a small strip mall that had Spanish writing everywhere I had to try it. I’m glad I did! The flavors of the dishes are uniquely delicious in many regards. I can’t describe it only to say that I have eaten a lot of Mexican food and this is the most flavorful while maintaining authentic Mexican appeal. I rarely eat Spanish rice but theirs is awesome! I had a beef Chimi today that was HUGE! When I got it I thought I’d eat half and bring the rest home. NOT! I couldn’t quit eating it was so good. Now I’m stuffed!The decor is humble but welcoming. Definitely catering to the Hispanic community but very friendly to all. 5 stars!!!!!

I eat there as much as I can, food is amazing and it is a cute little place. If you thought the food was bad its weird you wouldn’t say anything while you were there…I bet you ate all your food too. I would and have suggested el jalapeno to many friends and family.

Terrible Food, Rip Off. All the positive reviews must be posted by the owner himself, My wife and I went there recently, and got ripped off. The food was terrible, and the service was even worse. Very small and dirty. We will never go there again.
Great, very authentic. Tacos were wonderful! but kind of small so order 5 or 6. Also, it wouldn’t hurt to brush up on your espanol if you want something extra or minus.
Delicious! I was very excited to find an authentic Mexican restaraunt in the area. The food is fantastic!!! I will be back again and again!
