Enjoyed a delicious Asian dinner at this restaurant which features Laotian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese selections on their menu. We started with an order of spring rolls and egg rolls which were both excellent and served with piquant dipping sauces. Likewise, an app of oyster wings was superb and very messy. The seafood pho, a generous portion, was also wonderful. We shared an entre of beef and potatoes, served with rice, and it was scrumptious. The attractive restaurant was clean and our server was delightful. We took home half of the pho and half of the spring rolls which we finished off the next day.

Slow service. My mother and I went out for lunch. the service was slow. There was only one staff working as The waiter. Youd think theyd have more more staff working On a Saturday. It took more than 20 minutes for him to get water to our table and even longer to get our food. After 2 of our dishes arrives, we were still waiting in plates and silverware Which didn’t arrive until the very last dish came to the table about another 25 minutes later. We are very dissatisfied and will most likely not be returning.
I recently had lunch here and felt that the restaurant was dirty and over priced for the quality of food. My dish came out undercooked and cold. I will NOT be coming back.
New owners mean even better food!. Vientiane is under new ownership. They have a great staff and communicate much more clearly than the old owner. The food has been freshened up in terms of the pho having a more flavorful broth to begin with. It is nice to see the restaurant so full. It’s definitely worth a visit and a return if you have not been back for awhile.
Vientiane has great food!. Vientiane really has great tasting food. I would say, everything is great about this restaurant, except the service. There’s only one woman waitressing most of the time and she doesn’t really have the patience for you. Everything is very quick, very sudden, and there’s always a little pressure to buy more. Of course, I wouldn’t have a problem with ordering more of their delicious food. But sometimes you get tired of the pressure. I would rate this place a 4 out of 5 – a pretty good place!
