I would highly recommend the homemade chips. These chips are made to order and made of a whole potato. They have lots of different flavors and sauces to dip them too! My husband and I go here mainly for the chips and beer tap selection!
You cannot beat the beer selection here. The burgers are good, not great, but an excellent value at about $4 each. Unfortunately, the fries are really really bad – soggy and undercooked. But! The chips make up for it – crispy and oh so yummy!

Had a rude waiter, burgers unimpressed. Ok for the good, the beer selection is great.For the bad… well..Our waiter didnt ask if I wanted change and just kept a huge tip for himselfWhen we inquired about the text club the waiter grabs my friends phone out of his hands without asking. Just a few minutes after taking our money he asked us to leave (and we were being civil not rowdy or anything) because he wanted to seat more people even though I saw some space avail.It gave me the impression as if they are hurting, just trying to shuffle people in and out as fast as they can.On top of all that the the burgers were tiny and not very good. The burger was very sloppy, the bottom of my basket was so greasy it stuck to the table when I tried lifting it. Ive had bigger and better ones at McDonalds for a portion of the cost..
Amazing beer list.. We went for dinner and drinks with friends on a Friday night. Service was great, beer selection is second to none in the Duluth area. The food, needs some work, but it is good. I had the reuben burger which was very unique in flavor, I just wish the burger wasn’t cooked to oblivion. They are creative with toppings for their sandwiches, as well as with the seasoning and topping options for their fries and chips. We will go back.
Great beer selection. Just tried the new 7 West Taphouse this past weekend. They have all kinds of craft beers on tap. I believe they are supposed to switch the beer selection around from time to time. They have 5 of the ODell brews out of the 40 they carry. Nothing against ODell but it would be nice to see more diversity. Not that they dont have way more choices than your average pub. Would love to see them carry more than one Deschutes . So it will be interesting to see what they rotate in as they go forward. The atmosphere was great.. not so loud that you can’t carry on a conversation. A couple of TVs and some background music. We had great service…..the beer and food came promptly. The prices were about where they needed to be. Food wise the menu leaned heavy to burgers. I think they had a couple of salads listed. Our burgers were decent…nothing fancy here. Had some chips and fries….The chips were awesome! On the flip side the fries were soggy like a wet noodle…although they were good and hot. To be fair they have only been open for about a month. Overall I would give the Taphouse a 7 1/2 out of 10. Definitely would try the Taphouse again.
