The food was amazing. Had the Lake Superior fish sandwich and it was delicious. Wish we lived closer. Thinking about coming back for dinner while we’re still in town. Give it a try.
We made it in for brunch. What impressed me was the fact that you could get either brunch or lunch, which is a nice touch. Both our dishes were great. Service was friendly and engaged, knowledgeable about the menu but not intrusive. It’s obvious this is a place enjoyed by both tourists and locals.

Nice low key eating place in Duluth. Menu is solid. I ordered fish and chips and didn’t like it. It doesn’t have a taste of anything you would expect of fish and chip. No wonder why they call it deconstructed. Fish was dry and chewy as it got fried too much. unseasoned potatoes and mustardy coleslaw just spoilt my appetite.
YUM. Had A bison pizza and bacon wrapped dates both were really really good! and my server was a really nice lady.
Nice little place with friendly, knowledgable staff. Although we sat by the bar and our server was the bartender so she was very busy. They have some really fun interesting items. I had the Ugly Chicken…great presentation but very dry and chewy. Good beer selection. Got to try a couple of new ones I even ordered desert hoping it would be better…nope…tasted like it had been in the refrigerator drying out for a few days. Honestly I will go back. It’s one of the few places down on the water that isn’t a chain. Best of the worst kinda thing.
The 4 of us went th Lake Ave Cafe for a birthday dinner. All 4 of us were VERY happy with our entres! They were rich but had a good blend of unique flavors and fresh ingredients. Good service and nice atmosphere, this place was jumpin!
