This was my first taste of Duluth, and what an introduction. The wait time was long, but there is an outdoor sitting area with fire pits where you can make s’mores (for free). I ordered the Smoked OMC Plate, which normally comes with ribs, brisket and smoked chicken, but they were out of brisket, so I substituted pulled pork. For sides, I ordered the mac and cheese and roasted bacon and bleu cheese potato salad. The potato salad surprisingly left something to be desired, but the mac and cheese, despite its non-conventional appearance, was creamy and delicious. The pulled pork and ribs were about what I expected, but the chicken was phenomenal. I have never had smoked chicken that juicy. They have four different barbecue sauces, but I couldn’t narrow down my favorite. I would say it was a toss up between the chipotle-cilantro and Alabama white.
