  Best place in uptown. Seriously.Great happy hour specials, food is great. Jen and Luke are the best. Front outside area is a great place to post up and people watch. A+ establishment#kookoo

  Used a Living Social voucher and enjoyed a terrific Japanese dinner at uptowns Kiku Bistro. We started w two apps, (not included in LS voucher): the seaweed salad (w cucumber) and the Dragon sushi roll. Both were very flavorful. For entre, I tried the Bourbon Chicken. Our delightful, friendly, and efficient server, Kate, advised that the dish is spicy, and I found it absolutely scrumptious, w just the right amount of heat. My entre was accompanied by a redolent hot & sour soup and steamed white rice. Spouse played it safer and ordered the filet mignon w beautiful, big, tasty asparagus spears. The steak was very tender and deliciously savory, accompanied by house salad, and steamed rice. We each complemented our entres w a nice mellow glass of Pinot Grigio, (included in voucher). The L.S. voucher covers many entre selections: house specialties, stir fries, rice dishes, and Udon choices.

  Don’t waste your time. Skip the groupon for this place… it’s so not worth it. My husband and I go out for sushi almost every week, and this was the most disappointing experience we’ve ever had. We got to the restaurant and waited 15 minutes to be seated even though there were several open tables that we could see. I decided to run to the restroom while we waited, which was completely out of paper. Once we received a table, our server asked if we had a groupon and when we said yes she took the happy hour menu from my husband’s hands and told him that we could only order full price off the menu – including drinks. Our groupon was a $40 for $20, and we usually order $70-80 worth of food and drinks, so I’m not sure what the challenge was, but they were down right rude about it. The service was slow and we received our rolls 1 by 1 until we finally had all four. The food was pretty good, but did I mention that they were $15 each on average?!? We absolutely love Mt. Fugi in Maple Grove, and this was a truly disappointing experience on many levels. Overpriced, poor service – there are too many other options. We will never go back there again.

  Good food, terrible service. Bar staff gals were too busy being flirted with by drunk hipsters to pay any attention to us. Too many other sushi options in town to take this service.

  Groupons and great gyoza. This place always has online deals, but never seems to schedule extra staff when groupons are about to expire, which means the place is a madhouse and the wait is long. Any other day though, their staff is nice, and the good is always great. So many specialty roll options, great presentation, and gyoza so good you’ll want seconds. And maybe thirds.

  I know that happy hour can be a rush..waiting for almost 40minutes was a little crap on knee but i guess buddha helped me to be patient. what had me mad about this place was that i didnt get to be helped for another 15 minutes. miso soup was not even close to be showing up. no plate for the soy sauce, and definitely no more help from the server. YES, i am at the restraurant right now..people around us are getting all kinds of help but us. me and my girl just had a f-en dinner night on a beatiful saturday. never coming to this restraurant ever again
