I’ve only been to kinhdo twice and I have to say I really liked their curry chicken and my friend really liked their pad thai but their fried rice is not worth getting. I’ll probably come back but it wouldn’t be my first choice because of the lack of hospitality from the servers.. they’ve just been inconsistent and not as friendly as the hosts.
So sad very dissappointed.. Today I visited the restaurant with a girlfriend of mine, who is new to town. We passed up several other restaurants , including other Vietnamese, to get to Kihndo. We sat down and, since she is new to town, she had questions about the lunch menu. Which by the way is also all lower quality food then their regular menu. The sever we had, seemed irritated, we asked questions, and showed she was irritated, she is the same sever, I have had for the last 13 years of going, religiously. to eat. She was rude. My friend asked for the sweet and sour on the side, it came with it piled all over the top, and the waitress proceeded to tell her that the cook, does not have good english and poured the sauce over. She then set the plate down and told my friend, it’s ok, and walked away. She never refilled our glasses, and when she finally checked on us, i told her that my friends meal is not ok, since the sauce was all over it, and in a crabby way took it back. She brought the new one and the little pieces of batter on the chicken was dark brown, almost burnt, like chicken jerky. My meal by the way was terrible too. The chicken chow mein is all celery, hardly any chicken and tasteless. When she filled our drinks, after having to ask her, she spilled all over the table, and didnt bother to even wipe it up. When i proceeded to tell, who I assumed was the manager, he stated, yea, shes having a bad day. I was so disappointed, in one of my top restaurants and how we were treated. I know, my friend will not be going back, and doubtfully, myself either, which is sad, to myself and my daughter, who have been coming there for over 13 years.. Avoid the lunch specials, the food stinks on that menu.
Lots of Great Food. You get tons of food! I love their hot and spicy chicken…made mild! I love that they can tone it down for my tender mouth. I take home enough for a couple more meals. And their chicken or beef potatoes are to die for though they lose their crispiness when reheated. But don’t worry. They are so good you won’t have any leftovers anyway! Great egg rolls and sauce. Really good hot & sour soup. Great service. They discount 3% for cash.

Need to revisit. Egg rolls were fantastic. Tofu with cashew nuts-OK. Pad Thai- awesome! I got the Tofu and cashew nuts stir fried with veggies. I think it would have been great if it weren’t in this very typical asian vegetable sauce. Just kind of blah. It also was to contain hot peppers, which ended up being banana peppers. Kind of wierd to add to this dish. I want to go back for the pad thai which my friend let me try.
Yum!!. Best wonton soup I’ve ever had! Made fresh to order and full of delicious vegetable slices. I have it all the time! Also love the Kung Pao Chicken with peanuts.
Good Food and Service. I agree that the egg rolls are fantastic as are many of the dishes I have had at Kinhdo. Some of my go-to items include, General Tso’s Chicken, Royal Shrimp, Beef with Cashews, Tofu Lo Mein, Beef and Potatoes. The service has always been really good. Food comes out quick and is always fresh. They also offer a 3% discount on your tab if you pay in cash, which I cannot say I have seen before.
