Impressed. One of the better places to find a wider selection of beer. Not the best in any means but at least you know you’ll find something you care for. I was actually very impressed with their food. The salad was great! Freshly made, very well presented and well tossed with blue cheese, black olives and the assortment. The fries were also very good. Seasoned and tasty.4 out of 5
Great beer selection and specials. Williams boasts the largest bottled beer selection in the state of Minnesota with around 300. One thing to keep in mind is that with that many beers and a crowd that mostly drinks Miller Lite, you can get an old snunky beer very easily. I use to have a friend that worked there and always commented on that fact that with all the choices why in the world is Miller Lite their most popular beer?! They have about a dozen taps upstairs and 70 or so downstairs in the peanut bar. The downstairs can be tons of fun. Great to eat free peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. A peanut shell fight is almost certain once people get a number of beers in them. The food specials are great with stuff like a beer pitcher full of hot wings for $5 on some nights, burger and fries for $1 others, and even $1 steaks some nights. Even with the big beer selection it’s hard to find something that you really want. Most of the beers are pretty marginal and common. Nothing special that can’t be found elsewhere. This isn’t to say that you can’t find something nice to drink while you enjoy the company of friends and kick back. Williams is a nice place to have a couple drinks and some cheap food. And if you have a couple too many, the bus station is a mere 50 feet away!
