The pizza can be good but it can be bad! Don’t complain to a manager because he is rude and doesn’t care! If you can time it right so you are there when the Owner is.. Then you will have a much better experience!!!
RAW DOUGH! NASTY MGR. Tried Pompeii Pizza in downtown Elk River, MN tonight…great wood-fired flavor around the perimeter of the pizza and flat bread, but the flat bread AND the pizza were RAW dough in the center – probably a 4-6inch inner circular diameter of both were about as raw as the dough they were tossing. So, if you like raw pizza dough, and a rude, non-caring manager, then Pompeii Pizza is for you.
Absolutely Wonderful. We tried Pompeii after reading about it’s wonderful pizza. I will say I was impressed and absolutely loved it. The staff was amazing and spent more than enough time explaining the different types of pizza and during our meal even came over to ask us if we liked it. Wonderful food and service, definitely worth the trip!
Best of Elk River. Start with a salad. Then the pizza; its the best; lots of flavor and not overdone with excess sauce an cheese. Nice selection of tap beers and wines. Great atmosphere, friendly staff.

The pizza was good but the service was poor. Seating yourself is fine, having no idea how or what to order is another thing. The staff just sat behind the counter, never greeted us and were less than helpful when asked how to order.
City Exile. I lived in S. Mpls for years now living in far Anoka County. This pizza is the best thing since Michelangelos in SW MPLS or the places that used to be in on the Northside of Chicago. There is nothing like it for miles and miles.
