Food is not the most notable. But the beer selection is by far the best out of any restaurant north of the cities. The cheesecake is also outstanding.
Good Meat. My family has gotten the Quack’s Carnivore Sampler a couple times and also the Ribs. Their meat is great. A sampling of some of their best stuff. Surprisingly to me, I really enjoyed the pork chop best. It was tender and moist and was seasoned perfectly. Also their ribs are great. Fall off the bone tender and a great bbq sauce.
The only restaurant we visited twice on a 2000+ mile road trip. The chicken tenders are oddly good.
Quackitizers. OK you have to admit it’s fun to say. If only all their app – er I’m mean quackitizers were as fun to eat. Most look and taste like they came frozen in a bag and either baked or deep fried. The tips and toms were really good but the rest were just OK (quite greasy and heavy). We’ve come here a few times over the years and overall had good meals here. The burger, chicken, and sandwich selection is quite vast and interesting. The beer menu is a delight with descriptions and is quite lengthy. The service has always been friendly and fast. The decor is relaxed and homey although they need to upgrade their ventilation system as I always seem to leave there smelling like the place. Stick with the main menu items and take advantage of nightly specials and you’ll be quite happy.
I wrote for a national food magazine in my younger years, under this monicker. I now write reviews if local and my own experiences. I am not compensated for these reviews. While Norman Q has a reputation for great steaks, the ribeye I purchased was full of sinew and inedibleble fat. Yes, ribeye us a heavily marbelized cut but 40% sinew is not fat. The manager was very apologetic and took it off the bill, but chef should gave caught that before it went tableside. The rest of meal was enjoyable. The mens room had tv ganging from ceiling that left divots in my head. Is that necessary? Wait staff above par. 3.3 stars
Good friendly service, didn’t have to wait long. Monte Quacksto (Kristo) sandwich was great, big portion.
NEVER AGAIN!. We are residents of the community norman quacks is in. We visited them often a few years back but never felt welcomed when we were there. The wait staff always seemed bothered or something. So after about 2 years we decided to try it again with a coupon that was listed in our area. Buy one hand pattied burger get one free. We went on a Monday evening….well the rude waitress informed us that is was not valid on Mondays because of a special they were having…..well HOW WOULD WE KNOW WHAT SPECIALS they have…the coupon said NOTHING about not good on specials….I Will NEVER step foot in this place again…they are rude, greedy, not a good value for your money.
