Great Place to eat. Eaten at Vannelli’s many times, and nothing but great food! Whether it is my husband and I, or with the kids (Love the Chicken wings 🙂 ), or at one of the many banquets, we have always received excellent service, food, and atmosphere.
Stopped by on my way down to the cities with my dad and we were both pleasantly surprised by the wonderful remodeling and view. Granted the service was not up to par, but the food was perfect for what I had been craving-a bar burger. The fries were good, the atmosphere was nice, overall a good stop.
From a box or can. This is one of those restaurants you see on Restaurant Impossible. If you like food that is not fresh, from a can, box, jar, the bakery at Walmart, you name it, then it is the place for you. And the interior is the same. The table cloth was greasy and filthy right where my seat was, lucky it did not stain my clothes. I was embarrassed to say anything as I did not want to offend our hosts. Forest Lake deserves better.
Great place to host a wedding reception!. My daughter and son-in-law were married this past weekend and had their reception at Vannelli’s. This is my 3rd daughter to get married, so I am very aware of the pit falls of receptions. Our experience here was the best! The wait staff couldn’t have been more helpful, anything that was needed they were right on top of it. The owner also was very helpful. We had the Italian Buffet and the food got nothing but compliments. The meatballs were the biggest hit! So if your looking for a place to host a banquet or wedding check them out you won’t be sorry!
Best Food In Forest Lake. After reading some of the comments posted here, I must reply. For one, Vannelli’s doesn’t warm up pre-cooked food! Two, that picture taken of a dried up burger is on a plate from either someones home or another restaurant. Vannelli’s doesn’t own anything that resembles that. Three, if your food isn’t the way you like it or ordered it, PLEASE say something to the server. Don’t wait until later and post a bad review. ALL restaurants strive to please and Vannelli’s is any different than any other. They want you to enjoy your experience. Keep asking until you get what you want. Most of these complaints are pointless.Finally, in my experience, Vannelli’s is highly recommended and has a huge following of very satisfied customers. I will return over and over again.
Worst Service and Food. We gave Vanelli’s two tries. Once for dinner, once for brunch. Both times we had to YELL for someone to come seat us. No one was available. The waitstaff was nonexistent. Our water glasses were dirty (lipstick, food particles, not just hard water), so I requested two more. Only one of them was clean enough to drink out of. So 1/4 for clean glasses isn’t that bad I guess. Then our food. Flavorless except for the pasta salad. I love italian dressing on noodles, so I was partial to liking it. But, it wasn’t special. The meat was over done, nothing looked or tasted homemade, we will never go back. This place is way overpriced for really bad food.
Horrible, horrible service! I will never eat there again & will never recommend to anyone.
