Very Poor Service Recovery. We had a party of 8 and 2 of us were celebrating our birthday’s. We had a very poor experience. First off….they didn’t bring one persons rice…no big deal..they brought it out. My mom ordered a meal that included shrimp, scallops, and lobster. They never made her scallops. The server thought that 2 of our guests were sharing a meal…but that wasn’t the case..they each wanted their own meal..so 2 adults had to split a meal because we didn’t want to wait for another meal to get prepared. When we let the owner know what happened….she tried to accommodate us by bringing out my mom’s scallops from the kitchen. Unfortunately when they brought the scallops they were RAW!! To recover from this mistake they took $4.00 off the bill…..After everything that was screwed up were were so offended that is all they took off the bill! When the chef cleaned the hibachi station the dirty water splashed on our plates that had our freshly prepared dinner…gross. Also, they never cleared our dinner plates because they were too busy…and they never asked us if were were celebrating so we didn’t get the big show that they put on for people who have birthdays….Very poor experience…
Very poor experience. Our waiter took our drink order after we sat there for a little over 5 mins and our tempura roll appetizer came out about about 30 mins later. Our waiter never returned to take our entree order and I found him cooking after we were there for about 35 mins. The couple in front of us left because they never got waited on. Please save your money and don’t eat here.
Great experience, great sushi!. I was a bit surprised by all the negative reviews here because we just loved Sawa Japan! The sushi was great and the service was good. Our friends who took us there said they’ve always had a good experience there and they aren’t people who tolerate bad service or bad sushi. We’ll definitely be going back.
Yuck… I give Sawa Japan a big thumbs down.. Ive been to Sawa Japan twice… once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times were an awful experience. From bitter tasting hot tea to grocery quality sushi, the food was awful. On top very low quality sushi and sashimi the price was Way higher than many of the higher quality sushi restaurants in the area.
Great food! Take out only, never ate in restaurant
My first time there and the hostess said it was ok to sit at the hibachi to order sushi. We sat and ordered sushi through the hibachi area. Everyone that ordered hibachi finished eating we were than moved to the sushi area where we waited another 30 minutes we finally got our edamame after waiting a hour and a half than the sushi came out. The first roll the rice was over cooked. The special rolls were good I personally thought they were on the small side but still very good. Overall bad experience customer service was bad. I asked if it normally took that long and he said it was really busy. However the people that got sat after us who had sushi were paying their bill as we got re-sat in the sushi area.
Terrible service,. Absolutely terrible service ignored by waitstaff. My wife completely finished her beef teriyaki before my sushi was even delivered. So much for dinner with my wife. Had to wait and flag down a waiter for a second drink. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the waitstaff, they said they were too busy even though we were there early and the place was half full.
