Our first visit, 7:30pm on Friday night, and the place was packed. We had a half-hour wait, but managed to find seats at the bar. Jacobo made OUTSTANDING Long Islands for all 3 of us. We chatted with him and with each other, and it seemed a short wait before we were shown to a booth. Carlos was our server, and he was friendly & knowledgeable. He recommended the carnitas, which were excellent. Veggie fajitas were more than green peppers! The veggies were hot, not mushy, and grilled perfectly. Friendly service, great bar, very good food…we’ll be back!
Fast and cheap. Decent food, large portions –avoid lunch on wkdays as it gets busy.
Don’t Bother. My family and I visited the Teresa’s in Mendota Heights. On a positive note, the hostess were friendly and thoughtful. They have several neat fish tanks and seeing that I had two kids with me, she decidedly seated us next to one of them. The menu was over priced for below average food. Nothing special here. The kid’s chicken nuggets and fries were dissapointing, the nuggets were no better than the frozen kind from the grocery store with the nasty over processed smiley face fries. My husband had Al Pastor tacos and he thought they were good but the rice an beans were gross and left uneaten. My daughter had the nachos supreme, and for the price, a huge dissapointment. She ate like 5 chips and left the rest because she didn’t like them. I had the taco salad and it was just okay. The food just didn’t seem fresh or well prepared.Perhaps the biggest disspointment in my opinion was the margarita, though. When you go to a Mexican restaurant, even if the food is processed and subpar, they better have a good Margarita, right? Someone’s GOT to clue this place in on that. I was really in the mood for a margarita and decided on the large, which happened to cost TWELVE dollars. The price was steep, but I figured it was better than ordering two smaller ones. It tasted like watered down lime juice, seriously. Aside from the fact that I would’ve guessed it was a virgin margarita, the magarita mix was terrible! It was a diluted mess all around. I will not be back and I will also warn friends and family away from there. Try Los Ocampo or El Burrito for Great Food. Los Ocampo and Boca Chica have excellent Margaritas.
Since Julio left food has gotten horrible. Everything is cheaper and low quality and bad service
Great food. Easily my favorite Mexican place in the area. Decor is a little bland and the tables and chairs kinda small, but the food and service make up for it! It’s usually crowded when we go so we may end up waiting a bit for a table, but once seated the staff is there to take our orders quickly and the food comes out remarkably fast and has always been really good. The make the best margaritas in the area. I always leave there satisfied!
Best Mexican food in the Lakeville area. Try the cactus!
Great food, Incredibly fast service. After a bad experience at the restaurant next door (Casa Nostra Italiano), we decided to go to Teresa’s. We’ve been here before during the afternoon, but this time it was a Saturday night. They were obviously busy and we waited about 15 min to be seated, but it was well worth the wait. Our server greeted us immediately and took our drink order. They kept the warm chips coming, and we had our food within 10 minutes. The food was spectacular, and our server was fun and entertaining. Do yourself a favor and skip Casa Nostra, and just head straight to Teresa’s.
