Great Gastro Pub!. Great food in a tiny place. Ya gotta love how small places like this produce great food and dinning experience. The food was definitely the highlight. Pasta Specials and other Chalkboard specials are always spot on – can’t go wrong. We had crab cakes, Mac and Cheese, Scallops…that melted in your mouth. Great place to get a great meal and a great cocktail. On the service side…not impressed with the waitress. Smiling might help and a little more verbal communication.
Eli’s is GREAT!. I really like this place! Warm, cozy, & it is easy to enjoy the company of your dinner mates because it is not too loud. Our server was genuinely welcoming and was clearly caring about how our time there was going to go down. I asked for suggestions for Port wine and food and she could not of offered me better advice. She was knowledgeable of the drinks and the food & willing to share important tips or ask questions that might help her steer me to the best selection. She was great and we enjoyed the whole experience. Service, drinks, food, atmosphere… perfect! Had a great time. The food was very good! They care, and they deliver!I am sorry I do not recall her name… she has worked there for about 6 years! That is a good sign. She said she loves working there and it shows.Thank you Eli’s!
Wonderful! The food is fresh and they use local produce. The mushroom soup should only be ordered by the bowl! It’s wonderful
99%. The only reason our experience wasn’t 100% was the tuna steak sandwich was served on an ordinary hamburger bun instead of a Kaiser bun. But since it is Labor Day weekend that is forgiven since ordering things like that can be hard over the holidays. I trust the next time it will be correct. The pepper steak app was out of sight as well as the pastrami sandwich my husband had. Taylor was a very good and efficient server and we look forward to our return.
Food….. Less than what I would expect for the price. service was way subpar. Not horrible buy not anything special..
Mostly yum!. My boyfriend and I went to Eli’s before a show at the Orpheum. It was the perfect place to go before a night at the theater. The dim lighting and old school decor made me feel like I was on a date in the olden days. I ordered the pork tenderloin and substituted creamy spinach for potatoes and my boyfriend ordered the crab cake dinner. Both were delicious. They also have weekly specials that make the menu exciting (however, the menu on their website is not the same as the menu when you get there). The only problem we had was the spinach…can you say salt!? I had the creamed spinach and my boyfriend had regular steamed. Both were so incredibly salty we were barely able to eat it. However, when I told the waitress it was salty so she could tell the chef, she was super nice and took a beer off my bill! She did not have to do that as I still ate it all!!The price was very reasonable for the quality of food and the location of the restaurant. Go two blocks to Crave and your bill will be 4 times as much for the same quality of food.
Great food made from fresh ingredients. Nice ambiance for a get together with a few friends or a date.
