It’s difficult to write a review, as this joint has nearly knocked me into a food coma. We started with the most ridiculously huge pile of Canadian Nachos (aka poutine) I have ever seen and they let you choose from THREE different gravy options, no less. By the time we mowed through that and had started into a round of malts, there was hardly room for our burgers. The Butterface malt will turn you into exactly what it sounds like and I was in sugary heaven with my Campfire (s’mores) malt. The fresh cut fries are wonderful and I’m sure the burger will be delicious when I get to trying the leftovers. This place is classic retro but not kitschy. You can tell they like what they do and aren’t afraid to experiment. Will be back for breakfast and definitely more malts.Pro tip: either bring a second stomach or plan on fasting before eating here.

Diner with potential. Let me start with how much I enjoy the late night hours. It has been very convient for after work.always nice and steady. With a pleasant atmosphere. Which brings me to the thought of trying it saturday on the way to work. What a mistake. Very rude servers. Slow. I mean snails move faster. The food tasted nothing like what I previously had the night before. It was awful. The manager had no idea why or what was even going on. There was only a couple booths and myself at the bar. Not sure why the confusion and the refusal to ask the cook why the change.basically just ignored me. So unless you get better management on your day shift. I recommend to all of you. Stick with the late night service and food.

Great place. Poor service. Bad food.. The two stars are for the awesome design of the place that opened in September 2014. What was once a run down community center is now the latest renovation to a sketchy area. I was so excited to check this place out. The large windows allow you to see in the place. The newness is inviting. The malts and food looked good. We entered the place at 1130 pm on a Friday night. The waiter was great. Booths are large and comfy. Everything shinny clean. I asked how business was. He said spotty. I was surprised. In the next 45 minutes I understood why. We ordered the hangover breakfast. Three eggs, toast, hash browns, ham, sausage and bacon. $10. Also hot chocolate and a chocolate shake. The place was not busy. It took over thirty minutes to get our food. When it arrived the hash browns were burnt and cold, the scrambled eggs lacked any flavor, the bacon was cold und greasy and the Ham was burnt. The sausage and toast were edible. In a city that has few 24 hour late night breakfast options this has the potential to become a fixture. At this time it is not worth the effort or risk to visit this part of the city. There is a public lot across the street. Two bucks per hour. I will check future reviews and maybe go back in a year. If the food and kitchen staff do not improve, I fear this will once again be a community center.
Edgy crew. I popped in there for breakfast a few times and they were busy, but the atmosphere was refreshing. I liked how edgy the staff was and it coupled nicely with the retro environment–Very multicultural and orientation-flexible plus there was a gothrock cook!
Very slow. I went for brunch on new years day and they weren’t staffed to handle the crowd. It took over an hour to get our food and almost half the dishes came out differently than we ordered. My omelette was fine but nothing special.
