My favorite place for sushi in Minneapolis. The service and atmosphere are wonderful and the sushi is always great. I tend to go more for the sashimi and nigiri rather than the rolls but their rolls are also fantastic. The sushi is always fresh and when they run out, they are out! This is not pulled from a freezer and then defrosted, this is all fresh fish. I continue to return often.
Dinner with Family. What a great experience for my 9 year old son, my girlfriend and myself. We have reservations for 5pm within one of the tatami room. We had a number of items of the menu including the Spicy Tuna, Philly, Sumashi and Fuji-Ya Special bento boxes. I have had sushi in CA, NV and FL and for Minneapolis this isn’t bad for the price and experience.
Okay. I’m usually very easy going about service because I’m a server at Sushi Tango. So I understand if servers are busyYes I got seated pretty quickly. 5-8 min after sitting down a server told me ill be right with you. I was like okay no problem but it was another 10 min. It got to the point I didn’t even want to order any drinks. Server was startling around rushing me to order my apps i order 3 diff apps. When I didn’t take long because I was pretty much ready. But she interrupted me okay ill put these in now while you keep looking. I could have order my sushi as well. So in the between time waiting not too long for food to come out 15 later. She just dropped them off walked away. Even during eating my apps I tried to get a few servers attention but no one came over. I even saw a server just cleaning a table. tried to get her attention.Nope! i just wanted her to at least get our server over here or she can at least help us. We finish our apps she took them away and didn’t even bother to take any more orders. Neverrrrr once she asked how we were doing or how was the food. I didn’t even bother try to order more once she came back over 20 min later after we already finish our apps I just wanted to leave so bad. This isn’t my first time at Fuji-Ya. I always had decent service other time, but this was among the worst service I ever had. Usually understanding about things but I couldn’t stand this
Spicy tuna roll was terrible. Four pieces that you could barely get in your mouth because they were too large. Stuffed with rice and a few spicy sprouts. Fish was tasteless and insignificant to the amount of rice. Absolute disappointment. Service super slow, beer served with a full inch missing from the top. For this terrible meal I got slapped with a forty-eight dollar tab. (My husband and seven-year old along.) They did not think much of their’s either. Wish we would have gone to Bryant Lake Bowl instead.
Oo la la Sushi…. Love the sushi. I like how the place is setup. Whether you want privacy or out in the crowd you get both. Never had bad service. It also remind me when being abroad they bring you hot towels. Expensive but worth it. Hey who says sushi is cheap. Lol. I recommend it.
It was alright. Celebrated my birthday there. I liked it, but wouldn’t go there again. Couldn’t find any parking. The service was great though. My waitress was really nice.
Better than St paul location. I like Uptown fuji ya better than their st paul location. better food and service
