The food was good. The menu has a ton of options so it is almost kind of hard to choose what to order. Our server Jesus was polite and did his job well. They gave us chips and salsa while we waited and it did not take long for our food to get to us. My only complaint would be that the parking lot was full when we got there so we had to park across the street (literally every parking spot).
As good as it gets in this part of the country. Having lived in the Southwest most of my life, this review may be biased. The staff is excellent, I have not encountered a single employee I did not greatly appreciate.The atmosphere is more stereoptyped than I want to tolerate, the lemon green, merengue textured walls are just too much.And the food; holy salt! Ask for a few limes before you start. I do not mind that every other review says it is authentic, because this is really the second most authentic Mexican restaurant in all of Mankato, but authentic it is most certainly not!Remember, this is the Midwest, but I will always stand by the fact that if it is bathed in cheese sauce, it’s not really Mexican. When they have a taco bar, I’ll change my opinion.
