Quite a disappointment. Had the Seafood Trio. The shrimp were reheated, dry, and cold. The Chilean Trout was uninteresting and served on a bed of what tasted like instant potatoes. Of the five of us, only the one who had the International Duo was satisfied. I should have known better when we realized the restaurant was inside a hotel. Never a good sign. My mistake.

Delicious. I’ve never gotten bad food or service here, only excellence with both. The bartenders are always top notch. Everything on the menu is wonderful, definitely among the best in town. If you like top shelf scotch or tequila they have a great selection and they give a very hefty pour for on the rocks for only a few more dollars.

Lunch Buffet. Absolutely my favorite place! I’m able to run here on my lunch break, order the buffet (togo), and I get a ton of yummy healthy food!! I LOVE the buffet salad and tabbouleh!!! Also love the hummus and bread options!! I definetly get my money worth!! I would rather pay a little more for a good, healthy lunch than cheap out on fast food, that makes me feel like crap, any day!! Ugh, I’m drooling just thinking about it! I wouldn’t change a thing about it!!

This is a big deal?. Following a positive experience at Massad’s mall outlet, I figured I’d try lunch at their upscale downtown establishment. In a restaurant that fits into a small studio apartment, they have an underwhelming lunch buffet that doesn’t live up to the food court experience. Stick to the Carousel Cafe location for lunch. I’d return for dinner, but I’m not sure that it’s worth my time.

A Must Go To. Olives is a restaurant that you absolutely must go to if you are in the Mankato area, especially if you have food allergies. I am accustomed to going to a restaurant and only being have two or three things to choose from, since I am soy intolerant. Well the reverse was true at Olives, when I asked our waiter what I could have, I was told that there were only two things I could not have! I’m not going to lie, it took me a while to order because I had so many choices. It is a scenario I am unaccustomed to. Olives was a refreshing change. And their house dressing is a must have, so good!

Okay. The lunch buffet was a slight let down, but I’m still curious for the dinners.
