The bacon was amazing here! Perfectly crispy with a hint of softness. It was thick too! I only had toast and bacon, but the food I saw going to other tables makes me want to come back here again.
They don’t accept credit cards… It’s 2013 not 1990… Get with the program people. And they don’t have signs or tell you before you order so when time comes to pay and all you have is plastic you’re kind of stuck. Have to go to an ATM, come back and pay… Huge hassle.
Sad memories. When my dad went to prison for crime, the last thing we did was go to the Wagon Wheel Cafe for a big plate of cottage cheese. I cried so much that day, it ruined my shirt.
Love it! Mankato’s own old fashion greasy spoon. food is good, prices are right and it’s the best place to cure a hangover our have coffee with your favorite people.
The best thing about this place is the price. CHEAP. The service was slow, my eggs were cooked wrong, and the coffee was made with grounds from yesterday.
Small portions for small prices. Usually have to order many things to fill yourself up.
Maybe but I don’t know. People seem to like this place. It always has a good turnout with plenty of regulars. As for me though, I’m just not sold. I had an omelet, and it was rather underwhelming to say the least. I’d probably go again, but I wouldn’t write home about the experience. In addition, the waitresses were lackluster. They did their jobs just fine, but there was no banter or pizazz, just blah. I’ll note that they don’t take credit cards, just cash or check.
