This is my third time to Bacio and I was really looking forward to Mother’s Day dinner with my family. It was especially poignant because my uncle’s mother had just passed away a few weeks earlier at age 103. We were early for our reservation so waited for our table outside which was nice. Drink service was efficient and the servers were very helpful. We finally moved inside but had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time so by then we were pretty hungry. The server was wonderfully friendly. However, once we ordered, after about 45 minutes of waiting for our food, started to wonder what was going on. Granted, it had been busy earlier and waiting 1/2 hour or so was expected. But when it started to go past an hour, we were starving, our wine was gone, and our server had not come back to let us know that the kitchen was behind during that whole period. Finally the food came. It was just OK. My $16 Turkey burger was nothing special. Definitely not worth the money. MUCH better at Merlin’s Rest Mpls. (when they used to serve them.) I had to ask her what had happened and she said the kitchen got behind itself. It would have been better had the server come to tell us what was going on. I think they lost the order altogether. I don’t recall an apology and nothing was offered to make up for it like dessert on the house even if we would have probably declined. Our family had a great time together and I love the atmosphere, but it’ll be harder for me to get excited about going back anytime soon which makes me sad. Too bad. I love(d) that place. Tip: Go to Pizza Luce. They have a great menu, reallly good food, great service, very reasonable consistently.

Asked to toss in microwave in which replied they don’t have. Server took dish to cook better and came back out no different and no warmer??? Took two bites brought the rest home for my dog. This place is average at best. 3 strikes this restaurant is out!
