Simply the Best!. I have been coming to Beijing since I was 12yrs old. I am now 34yrs old and during the 22yrs I have come to Beijing the quality of the food has been consistently amazing. If I have a bad day this if where I go for my comfort food. When I have something I want to celebrate this is where I come to make the day even better. The owners are genuinely nice people that are always happy to see the regular customers stop in. If you love good Chinese food you will not be disappointed with Beijing. I recommend the cheese puffs as you will not find better ones any where in the Twin Cities. I would also like to mention that I have seen some of the reviews and anyone that says the service is rude is obviously not a regular and doesn’t know the owners. Anyone that says the food is poor quality should ask themselves this….if the food is so bad how would the restaurant have survived for 29yrs in the same location? If you don’t believe my review do yourself a favor and stop in and try it for yourself. I think you will be very pleased.

My spouse & I ate at Beijing Friday evening. The restaurant was not crowded, but a lot of people came through who ordered take-out. The service was acceptable – seated immediately, drinks arrived quickly, ordered in a timely manner. The problem is the food. We frequent many Chinese restaurants around the cities & this is by far the worst for food quality. We ordered the appetizer sampler & 3 entrees to try a variety of food for the first time. The chicken wings were the only thing I liked from the appetizer. The Hunan Triple Crown was also acceptable for food quality & sauce flavor. The scallops were not flavorful at all. The lo mein cut corners by using spaghetti noodles & very, very oily. The chicken Cantonese noodles sauce was not mixed thoroughly – some very sour spots! We will not return any time soon.
Very disappointing. Ordered take-out only to find out once we got home that the order was mostly wrong. I went back to get the remade order and the owner was very hostile, I think mostly because it was his mistake taking the order on the phone. Instead of being gracious about my inconvenience and making two separate trips-hungry children at home, he was actively rude. I understand mistakes, everyone makes mistakes but not being sorry is unacceptable.
Gross buffet. Everything was empty or dried out. Found a twisty in my food.
Very rude service, the food was slightly under cooked. Prices are not cheap, and the price my fiancee and I were charged was higher than listed on the menu, and was told it was an old menu…. It’s not.
Favorite Chinese food. I’ve eaten Chinese food all over the Twin Cities, and this place has been my favorite for the last few years. They do simple things very well, like egg-foo young. But their beef short ribs, and Hong Kong Shrimp are fantastic.
