I don’t do reviews BUT! We’ve been going here 4 years but it’s been awhile. Sucked! My wife’s chimmy had Gray, nasty tasting chicken. Then ordered something else, cheese was skanker than Velveeta. Beer? Barely cool. Waitress, wonderful service.

If you are not an american you can’t drink here!!. Went into the Lone Spur for the first time last night with my girlfriend. The waitress came over and asked what we would like to drink and my girlfriend replied a coronarita. The waitress asked her for her ID and she gave her a valid passport since she is not from this country. The waitress said she had to ok it with her manager. The manager then came over and said the passport was not a valid form of ID because of Minnesota state law. We have had dinner in numerous restaurants in minneapolis and all over the country for that matter and her passport has never been an issue. Since they are in the restaurant business they should be fully aware that a valid passport is an acceptable IDfor the purchase of alcoholic beverages or possibly the reason they didn’t want to serve her was because she was black!

SO IT’s been a few years so I stopped by for another try. Things were somewhat better this time, at least with the ribs. The ribs are legitly smoked, but then in true MN BBQ Rib fashion, are finished to fall-off-the-bone-softness. Sauce is thick sweet with some smoke.Beans and rice on the Tex-mex side are bland. Carnitas themselves are not bad, but the tacos just had too much lettuxe. The Burrito Grande was pretty much generic. They have a nice outdoor patio w/fire pit, and service was prompt/food came out really quickly. Iced tea rating 3/5—EDITThe chili was very good (spicy version.)According to my son, so were the chicken tacos. Smoked turkey leg meal was dry and tasteless (waitress was nice enough to discount us $8 for the legs without us asking.)Ribs were way overdone and needed plenty of their sweet bbq sauce.

Just watched people after people walk out the door because nobody greeted them. Clueless. The food was sub par. Actually it was gross and the bartender was very condescending.
