My family and I travel to MN from the East Coast to visit family every year and YoYo Donuts is always a highlight. My daughter has a peanut allergy and is banned from 99.9% of all bakeries. She is excited every year to come back to MN and be able to eat amazing donuts. Great sweets, awesome coffee and smiles all around. Thank you for making a little girls’ day for the last 3 years.
Absolutely delicious!!!! The maple bacon is TO DIE FOR!!!!! I recommend to EVERYONE!!!
Tasty, but…. A little overpriced. I enjoyed my donut and the girls behind the counter patiently answered my many questions despite the typical Saturday morning line, however, I think it was a tad overpriced. Two donuts and a small coffee ran me $7. Perhaps I’m just a cheapskate who doesn’t properly appreciate quality. I might make this an occasional treat, but will stick with the cheaper mom and pop place around the corner from my house.
Yummy donuts!. We tried yoyo donuts this weekend after searching for a local donut shop near our house. Why are there not more donut places near Edina/Bloomington/Richfield ? Anyway, back to the donuts, we tried 5 different kinds and liked them all. We tried the maple/bacon long john, sprinkle cake donuts, crumb cake donut, apple fritter and cherry fritter. They were all really good, but a little on the spendy side. 5 donuts were $10.50, so about $2 a donut. I will say the maple/bacon long john is amazing. The apple fritter was good, but was more doughy than crunchy and I prefer an apple fritter that is soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside. We will definitely be back!
I Just Don’t Get It. My wife took the kids and I to this place a few weekends ago. Donuts are one of my favorite foods, and I was excited. Each of us picked out two of our favorites, and we ended up with 10 donuts total, and 8 different types. I can honestly say the donuts were just OK.With all of the hype and television coverage this place has been getting lately, I was honestly expecting more. The donuts were quite a bit heavier (more doughy) than I thought they would be, and a lot of them tasted similar. Apparently the only requirements for being featured on a local morning show or getting glowing reviews from a local food critic are that you put bacon on a Long John and gummy worms on a donut. We are easily entertained here in Minnesota, I guess.I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it. It was just OK. It definitely did not live up to the hype.
Delicious!. Wonderful donuts in fun varieties. We really loved the maple bacon long john, with a real strip of bacon. Everything we’ve had has been good, staff is friendly, customer service is top notch. Thanks YoYo!
Maple Bacon Long John. You have to try it! Excellent long john. Top quality bacon.
