It should be $$
Great experience! My mother and I stopped in for dinner and Chef Steven was so amazing. He picked a perfect selection for the two of us. Great food, wine, and a great chef. Thank you Steven!
Be’won’t be back. Didn’t care to much for flavors. Sandwich got soggy by the time I ate the other half. Nothing fancy about this food. I think it’s very expensvie. $15 bucks for a lunch! Ouch.
Overpriced but yummy. Went there for lunch today. We both had pastrami, mine was plain hot pastrami, my husband choose Reuben-style. The pastrami was excellent with great marbling. Mustard had quite a horseradish kick that I really enjoyed, but the best part was the crusty seeded rye bread. Hearty enough to stand up to the juicy beef but not thick or dry. A great firm, fresh bread perfect in it’s own right. Served on the side was a tablespoon size of potato salad and fresh vinegar marinated cukes. For the price though ($9.50), the sandwich was small and just a tablespoon of potato salad? I know American portions are out of control, but a tablespoon? C’mon! From what I tasted, the potato salad was good. Yukon Gold potatoes with egg, parsley, cherry tomatoes and a few other herbs and spices without reeking of mayo. A delight that I would have liked to have dug in more if I had it. The service was slow at 2 pm non- crowded weekday, and warehouse atmosphere made me feel more like an industrial Starbucks, not to my liking. I wouldn’t make an extra trip, because of parking and price, but would visit again if I lived nearby.
Oh my. Best goddamn pastrami I’ve ever had.End of review
Good concept. Did a weekday lunch, had soup and half-sandwich. Always appreciate soup (cabbage, white bean) properly seasoned, good cabbage flavor. Half sandwich (roast beef) was what I’d call a whole sandwich, perfect amount of horseradish, just a tickle of onion jam, good bread. Roast beef itself maybe a teense rare, though. Service a little slow. But a winner, we’ll be back.
