Burger Hype. Question: Why do people like these burgers so much? Answer: Maximum charred surface area. Two thin patties yield twice as much surface area as a single thicker patty creating much more meat with a crunchy, charred chew. Not a bad thing, right? Perhaps not. But, the problem with a thin, diner-style burger is that it has to be cooked well-done. There is no rare. The meat is just too thin. Personally, I prefer a thicker, tavern-style burger that can be cooked rare, or even medium rare. I’d rather taste the beef than the char. Ideally, I’d want a nicely charred thick burger. This is not the case with the Parlour Burger.
Whether you want a great cocktail or a great burger, THIS IS THE PLACE!! Craft cocktails mixed by the Cities’ best. Then there is the burger. OMG the burger. I have dreams about it. Two patties made with 3 different meats, cheese in the middle and a delicious bun. I bring everyone I can here so they may experience the burger. BEST in town, hands down! (And I loooove me a Matt’s, Lion’s Tap and 5-8 burger, but my burger heart beats for Parlour!!) Get there close to the opening time because they fill up quickly. (Also know you can’t get the burger upstairs at Borough unless you are sitting outside on the deck. Unless you are a foodie, skip Borough.)
