  I had RCK Soul Food and I fell in love! I had smothered pork chops over rice, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. The chops were tender, the gravy was seasoned well, the greens were sooo good. They weren’t bitter or crunchy and the macaroni was baked like my mama does it with the crusty cheese on top. I had kool-aid and to my surprise it was sweet. I did’t have great expectations as I have been disappointed in the past with soul food here and the restaurant is in the kitchen of a church in North Minneapolis, but RCK far exceeded my expectations. The owner told me that she’d just moved from a spot in Crystal and to look for her grand re-opening in the coming months at a new spot close to where she is now. I will definitely be there. But for now, if anyone is looking for some good soul food, RCK Soul is the spot. 2010 Fremont Ave in North Minneapolis.

  Really good home cooking. Homey atmosphere, nice people, with a gospel music soundtrack. Don’t skip dessert.

  Fed my belly and my soul. It’s all so good I can’t talk about each dish individually in this small space. Everything tastes like it’s supposed to: fresh, well seasoned, and awesome. I hope y’all are around a long, long time. I would totally be there for a lunch buffet (hint, hint…) Thank you for working so hard back there to bring us good food.

  Best tasting food I have ate. My wife and I had chicken; pork chop; tilapia; geens; jambelia; Mac n cheese; rice n gravy. Every item was hot fresh and very tasteful
