Aki’s Bread Haus offers great authentic German style breads, pretzels, rolls and more. Assortment varies from day to day. This little bakery has gotten better and better as they have just completed their first year in this location. They also still sell bread at several farmers market’s around town. We are regular customers and the owner and the staff not only recognize us, they know which breads we like and have even saved us a few loaves of our favorites in the back knowing that we would be coming in and asking for them. This is now the only bread we eat! They also take special orders in advance.
Good start. Aki’s Bread Haus offers a small assortment of breakfast items, so I ordered a cinnamon walnut roll and a coffee. The wait staff seemed unsure but friendly in their new roles as they’ve only been open for a week, and they’re figuring out the details. My breakfast was nicely prepared, flavorful without being overly sweet, and the coffee was alright. Before leaving I purchased a loaf of hand-braided raisin bread to take home, and I’m looking forward to savoring it with friends tonight.Aki’s is authentic without being overpriced, and I look forward to being a repeat customer.
