I haven’t tasted food this bad since middle school. None of hungry teens at my table even finished their food. The apps we got (Mexican poutine, Warm Corn Gratin Dip, Pretzel Bites, and Mitzi’s Mexican rolls) were so sad. Trolling the frozen appetizer section at Cub would have been a better bet. Ugh. The music was not loud enough to add to the rambunctious decor. And the winos who sleep under the Hiawatha bridge had better tequila than what was in my margarita. Fail on all accounts.

Probably a really fun night-life place to hang with friends on a warm, not-raining, Saturday night (the opposite of the night we chose)–not a foodie destination. The large restaurant has an almost equally large outdoor seating area. All of it, complete with large white cement water fountain in pool, decorated like a 1980’s era country club. Outside you find life-sized, painted, animal statues and a working Ferris Wheel you can dine on (in proper weather.)The kitch is fun, but I could see it being the kind of place that’s hot for a while, then feels been-there, etc. The food all had cutsie names, but was mediocre. Bunny’s Guac & Chips was very good however, with the fresh, salty tortilla chips every bit as much a star as the thick, chunky guac. Pulled pork items on the menu were not bad, pulled chicken was dry enough that sauce couldn’t save it. We tried a side of Jalapeno Mashed potatoes which really just tasted like mashed potatoes w/o the gravy. Drinks are a bit on the spendier side imo. You might try it with a younger group of friends in the summer when you could enjoy the outdoors.

Interesting place, lots to see. Service was slow, taco salad was ok. Ferris wheel is good for out of towners. Will come again; groovy wall paper.

Suburban yuppie attraction with a destination price tag. I think most local people understand that this place isn’t for them and already know the drill.

The Ferris wheel was so fun! Worth the $ since you ride for 15-20 mins. The calamari was crisp and delicious. The mini mexi pot pie was flavorful and bold. The muffy was fresh!

Slow bar service. More concerned about getting drinks for the restaurant then the patrons sitting right in front of them. Would’ve drank three or four drinks, instead only one and food because they never asked. Weird that you don’t work for the people that will tip you the most. Granted it was a Sunday afternoon, but you just expect minimum courtesy from a place with such a high profile. Hostess didn’t even greet is so we sat at the bar.Food was fantastic, however, and I would return on a slower day.
