Great food, higher priced. ChinDian has some of the best chinese food around NE Mpls. Their prices are a bit higher than your everyday lunch options, ranging from $10-18/pp. That being said, the price is mostly worth it. The atmosphere of the joint is great too, much more upscale than other Chinese places in the area.
Possibilities! The noodle dish was great. The curry chicken not so. Potatos under cooked and chicken might of come from a freezer. Weird texture and aftertaste.
NICE FUSION. Chinese/Indian fusion…interesting twist. Food resembles more indian fare but the flavor is well done with the curry and spice. I had only taken food to go so cannot comment on the ambience or service. I ordered the cheese wontons, lo mein noodles, Sesame chicken, and the ChinDian Manchurian. The wontons had a nice flavorful sauce decorating it. Lo mein had no surprises, sesame chicken again no real surprises. The Chin Dian Manchurian was amazing mix of heat and spicy flavor that I still crave. The heat is good but not super spicy (if i had eaten in i would have ordered the spice wheel persoanlly), This is a great place that mirrors the similar non-meat varieties as most indian restaurants do, but the asian spice combinations (although both are considered asian) with the curry spice was amazingly flavorful but not overwhelming, Will certainly return to discover more dishes to crave!
Just had fantastic Madras Chicken! I changed my mind about this place. Yum! Go!
Nordeats. Great food. Anchovie sambal!!!!!!
LOVE this place!. This is one of my favorite take out restaurants! The food is fantastic, fresh, delicious. I’ve never had anything bad here and actually think most of it was extra-ordinary!! My staple is the pork hoagie which is definitely one of the best sandwiches in town. I also really enjoy the chicken/chive dumplings and the soup with chicken, jalapeno, rice noodle, etc. Cons? Well, it’s not a fancy place (re: takout) and it’s not as quick as some of the other 10-minute Asian establishments. Also, I wish they had wonton soup which is my favorite thing to eat!!
Spicy!!. I ate here on Monday afternoon and it was wonderful. Had the garlic chicken and the pork chow fun. Both were excellent. The chow fun was ordered second to hottest and it was FIREY. My eyes were watering, nose running, mouth burning…I loved it.What I think are the owners both came out and said hello and asked how the food was. I’ll be back. There are many things I want to try. Oh and the egg rolls are really good to.
