Dining with Al Capone!. We have eaten here a few times and have always had a wonderful experience. The large room reminds me of the 1930 ganster era. The waiters are professional and friendly. The starter plate for each table is sooo good. The shortribs are my favorite. Our selections change depending on the time of year. Erte is fun in the summer but we enjoy the warmth of the place during the cold winter. Parking is on the street. Reservations are needed on weekends, not on week nights. It is a quiet place to enjoy a conversation or romantic night out.
Consider ourselves foodies and have never had anything that was not great! No where is perfect but for 10 years has been a winner. Something for everyone at northeast prices!
Apps were great entrees were no good at all, we got jambalaya and chicken saltimocca neither were good, very disappointed
If you go there with the intention of using the happenings coupons be sure you have your member card and not your key fob. They wouldn’t accept it. Seriously, they lost all future business. Poor customer service with no intention of building a relationship with their customers. Really unfortunate.
First visit to Erte. Made a reservation based upon other positive reviews on this site, was not disappointed! Great filet mignon at a reasonable price, phenomenal service. Interesting artwork in the dining area, enhanced by an accomplished local 3-piece band. Kind of unusual to see a dining crowd with an age range of twenties-to sixties also. For those of us who hadn’t really discovered NE Minneapolis as a dining destination, this visit was an eye-opener. We’ll be back!
Romantic. A Northeast gem! We absolutely loved Erte. Reasonable (grey goose martini was $8! Perfectly cooked filet $24), friendly and attentive staff, superb decor.
