Went here for a friends birthday party, we had a fairly large group and when we called in weeks prior it was recommended that we be seated in the private dining room which was not available until 8:30 (requested time was 7).Not once was it mentioned that they required a $500 minimum until we checked in for our reservation at 8:30. We were then told there were not tables available for us at this time and had to wait an additional half an hour to be seated in the private dining room. The hostess was constantly circling us trying to eavesdrop on my upset friend and made everyone feel uncomfortable.Terrible communication and service! To top it all off the wine we had ordered had gone bad and tasted just awful. I ordered the pho, which was okay, nothing like a traditional pho at all! It had large chunks of chewy meat rather than the thin and delicate slices it should come with. The sweet potato fries were excellent cooked nice and crisp and my boyfriend did enjoy his green curry and wontons. Most of my friends also did not enjoy their entrees here. Nice ambience although it was pretty dead when we visited on a Monday evening.

The food at Ginger Hop has been great every time I’ve gone. It’s flavorful and well balanced. I also love all the vegan and vegetarian options they have. It’s definitely at the top of my list!
