They are closed. A very sad week for eating.The Ideal Diner has closed.21 Nov, 2012Unbelievable pancakes!. They give you a frisbee sized pancake that HAS to have something like cornmeal in it – TOALLY GREAT!!!Small place with old style dinner stools but seating turns over pretty quickly.

This was my first experience at a diner and I love this place. The food is perfect..it’s so good my friend and I come 3 a week.
A Real Trip In Time. I try to get to the Ideal Diner at least once a month. Reminds me of my youth when Dad and I woudl sneak out for an early breakfast on Saturday mornings.Food is great, Staff is even better. Go early for seating and enjoy the gosip of the locals.
Classic Diner Kitch. I am glad that we finally made it in to here! The hours of the place are 6:00AM-2:00PM CLOSED Mondays! So make sure you get there early. The place is super small, bar seating only, but adorably kitch and quaint. The food is superb and no frills. Three of us ate and the bill was under $20, awesome! I plan on going back many times, good thing I live in the neighborhood.
