This is the real deal…. It was a Sunday morning when we stopped in for breakfast. The woodwork in the place is spectacular and seating was very comfy. The place was not very busy. Waitress was friendly and fast to the table with water and ice tea. I ordered the Irish breakfast. Two eggs cooked over medium, two sausage links that have a different taste than American sausage, two slices of canadian style bacon, hashbrowns and toast. The jam was delicious. There was a item called black pudding. If you like all spice you might like this. I will spare you the contents of the item, but it was not eaten on my plate. They have plenty of standard breakfast offerings, but I wanted to try something new and I am glad I did. For dessert I ordered a cupcake. For $5 it was disappointing. Vanilla with buttercream frosting. It was good, but served from the refrigerator. Hard to eat. I expect a fresh cupcake for $5 or tell me it is not fresh. The kitchen was slow for the few patrons but we were not in any hurry, If we had been super hungry this could have been an issue. Not sure I would bring kids here if it takes so long to get food out of the kitchen. Parking was on the street. Not a very large place, but what they do, they do well. For an authentic Irish bar, this is the place.
Excellent Scotch Selection. The scotch selection is fantastic! Not cheap, but fantastic. The regulars are a hoot and a very friendly lot. Trivia twice a week that will remind you of how much you have forgotten. The onion rings are beer battered (as they should be) and not frozen, breaded and flavorless. I’m not fond of their Bloody Marys–I would go elsewhere for that.
We went there a week ago for drinks and late-night food after the ball game. Great service and the food was good.
Mediocre food , terrible service. We had lunch on Sunday afternoon. We seated ourselves but waited for a long time before anyone even asked if we’d like anything to drink. We ordered an appetizer at the same time. After several minutes we recieved our drinks, but 25 minutes later we still hadn’t recieved or appetizer I asked the waitress, she had forgotten about it. When she brought it out, she brought it with our dinner. Portion size was small, and was nothing special. The waitress never checked back to see if we needed anything else, and we had to ask her for the check. We won’t go back
AWFUL!!!!!!. Went there a while back and were treated like absolute trash by the management. No-one was drunk or rowdy…..will never set foot in this place again!!
Pretzel (frozen) and cheese (canned) tasted off, $2 for tasteless bacon and cheese on premade burger, fish and fries tasted like oil.
Hire a chef who knows how to cook Irish food! An Irish pub must be able to put out quality Irish food, the fish & chips were a complete joke! Poor quality fish and the fries were terrible. The beer was good but don’t bother with anything on the menu from Keegan’s.
