I tried the combo plate, consisting of a cabbage roll, red cabbage, three pierogis, and Ukrainian sausage. Here is how they ranked: sausage: excellent; cabbage roll: great; pierogis: okay; red cabbage: meh. Although it was a good bit of food, I felt $20 for the combo plate and a drink was a bit steep. I am willing to give them another try since their sandwiches looked amazing.
Excellent food, price and atmosphere for casual family dining. I had the cabbage rolls and kraut covered in rich, creamy mushroom sauce. It was good comfort food with well developed flavors.
I came here after seeing them on the food network and thought I was in for a surprise. After my visit, I will never be visiting this establishment again. The employees were extremely rude, the food was burnt and tasted horrible, and the bill came out to be way more than expected. My 8 year old daughter started to feel very ill after our visit and she has been feeling worse as the day progresses. I wish I would have never made the mistake of coming to this sorry excuse of a company and stayed home and ordered pizza. I really have no clue how they have so many positive reviews when every aspect of their business is trash. Please do your family a favor and stay far away from Kramarczuk’s!
It is my favorite place in all of Minneapolis. The sausages are wonderful, the Reuben is great and the pirogies are amazing. I’ve never had anything here I didn’t like. The sauerkraut has meat in it, how can a place that has that not be good? It also has a deli where you can get sausages etc. to grill yourself. This is the only thing I ever get for grilling, all other meat is inferior. I would rave about the napoleons but then there would be none of those glorious custard wonderfuls left for me.
Wonderful European food! I ordered Varenyky stuffed dumplings. I ordered six – two stuffed with meat, two stuffed with cheese and potato and two stuffed with sauerkraut. My favorite was the sauerkraut. My husband ordered the Bratwurst. In addition, we ordered the cucumber tomato salad. We loved their salad, mustard and sauerkraut so much that after lunch we bought a copy of their cookbook.
Delicious and unique! Love the atmosphere, feel, and kindness of the staff. We ordered the Potatoe Pie and the Ukranian Meatballs. I would highly recommend the Ukranian Meatballs (pork) – as the richness and texture of the meatballs really came together over the egg noodles. Very diverse selection of beer – which I absolutely love! We will definitely be coming back!
Great Sunday brunch with a good selection of Polish meats and food from the deli. Best maple sausage links made fresh in house. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.
