Delicious authentic Mexican food. ..my new favorite Mexican restaurant. Fresh made tortillas, fresh ingredients, perfectly spiced meats make the food to die for. I loved everything I got and can’t wait to go back. Great menu selection, can’t wait to try everything else. Tacos, beans, rice, tostadas, salsas…everything was perfect.

I discovered Maya Cuisine based on some good reviews earlier this summer. Lines can be long, but counter service is made before you (similar to Chipotle, but better quality). It’s worth the wait! You have several choices of meats for tacos, burritos, and salads, each with great flavor. I personally enjoy the taco salad. Whole-heartedly recommend the regular service. However, recently discovered they do a Sunday brunch. Of course, being a fan of the food and a fairly new patron, thought it would be an excellent way to try many of their foods. Strangely, was underwhelmed by the experience. While food was prepared well and included a mixture of drinks (mango juice, coffee, and canned sodas), Mexican, and American dishes (meatballs, pancakes, French toast, cereal, baked goods, & fruits), felt the $25 price for myself and a friend was a bit much for what was presented. Although corn tortillas/chips, and meats were offered, there was no lettuce, tomato or other traditional toppings out to allow to those wanting to make this meal even somewhat healthy. I will be back for the regular service, but would skip the brunch in the future.

I grew up eating primarily Mexican food. Glad to find a place that does it right! Great tamales, and affordable. With its proximity to downtown without the parking issues, maya can’t be beat.

Love at first site. The tamales are heaven sent. I may be a bit over dramatic but it’s no joke. The tamales are full of flavor and delicious meats. Vegetarian?? No worries they have vegetarian tamales , burritos, tacos , taco salads etc…. I absolutely love Maya’s. Maybe I’ve only been there once but I’m in love. It’s love at first site. Though I might cheat on the tamales with that yummy salsa bar.

Yeow!. To start, let me be clear. These are the best tacos I’ve had in the Twin Cities. Now, to more minutiae. For some reason I was expecting a table service place. Not the case. This is an order-at-the-counter kind of place. But, to the tacos themselves, they are not overstuffed and at 2 bucks each, are on the expensive side, especially considering each taco is made with a single, not a double corn tortilla. But the meat – oh, the meat. This is where Maya shines. I had the chicken tinga and the conchinita pibil. They were both spectacular- bursting with flavor. The salsas were also equally delectable, and perfectly enhanced the meat. All in all, I would return to Maya in an El Paso heartbeat.

Wonderful service. We walked in on a whim and were not sure of the menu. A gentleman behind the counter explained everything out to us and even gave us some samples. The food was great and a great value. The only recommendation I can make is something other than the styrofoam plates. Otherwise a great place.
